Comlite’s 12V/24V range covers 20W to 800W underwater fishing lights that run straight off a boat battery or a portable pack — no generator, no mains connection. Models include self-sinking portable units for kayaks and small boats, dimmable lights with protective cages for inshore work, and high-power 400W-800W units for commercial boats.

The number that decides everything on a battery system is runtime. Divide the wattage by the system voltage to get the current draw: a 20W light on 12V pulls about 1.7A, so a 100Ah battery runs it for roughly 48 時間. The same battery runs a 120W light for about 8 hours and a 450W light for just over 2 時間. Choose the wattage for the species and water, then size the battery for how long you plan to fish.

Choosing a 12V/24V Fishing Light

  • Match the system. Most small boats and kayaks are 12V; larger vessels run 24V. Several models in this range accept both.
  • Size the output to the water. 20-60W for kayaks, canoes and small ponds; 200-450W for inshore boats; 600-800W for commercial boats working deep water.
  • Pick the colour for the water. 緑 (520-560 nm) travels farthest in coastal and estuary water; blue suits clear offshore water; white is best for loading and working light.
  • Check the cable and the cage. Commercial boats and rocky ground need a protective cage and a cable long enough for the drop you plan to work.
